Senior African Football Coach Filmed Taking Bribe

 Salisu Yusuf, the coach who has led Nigeria's Super Eagles through their most successful African Nations Championship ever, is one of the most respected coaches in Nigerian football.A senior African football coach has been caught on camera taking cash in an undercover sting operation.

An investigative report by BBC says Salisu Yusuf, the top Nigerian coach of the Super Eagles  who has led Nigeria’s national men’s team through their most successful African Nations Championship ever, reaching the final in 2018, is one of the most respected coaches in Nigerian football.

The video in which Salisu Yusuf is captured taking cash was recorded in 2017 and handed to BBC’s Africa Eye programme as part of a larger investigation into football by Ghanaian journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas. The investigation resulted in the collapse of Ghana’s Football Association and in dozens of referees and officials being suspended from the game across Africa.

Meanwhile another BBC Africa Eye broadcast titled The Rapist Next Door has removed the veil on the human impact of rape in one of the most dangerous townships in South Africa’s commercial capital, Johannesburg.

“For more than a decade, South African crime reporter Golden Mtika has documented the devastating human impact of rape in his community of Diepsloot, one of the most dangerous townships in South Africa’s largest city,” BBC says in a statement. “In this ground-breaking investigation, Mtika tracks down, confronts and challenges the worst perpetrators of sexual violence in his community, men who openly boast of committing dozens of violent sexual assaults with no hint of remorse, regret or even awareness of the horrific pain their crimes inflict.”

Crime reporter Golden Mtika has documented the devastating human impact of rape in his community of Diepsloot, one of the most dangerous townships in South Africa's largest cityAccording to the broadcast, children are targeted by witch-doctors who advocate child rape as a cure for HIV.

Mtika questions whether continuing to live in Diepsloot is safe enough for his own family.
