Through a programme that mentors young journalists, media students and talented children and youth in arts and cultural journalism on both short term basis and through cultural festivals, more than 100 people had passed through ArtMatters.Info internship and mentorship in the first four years since its launch in March 2005.
A mentorship targeting students in media schools in eastern Africa are held in the ArtMatters.Info premises and through hands-on practical workshops for arts journalists and critics in Nairobi, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe, Uganda and South Africa.
ComMattersKenya, through ArtMatters.Info, liaises with local and international organisation to achieve her objectives, including developing guidelines on arts journalism and criticism.
With the support of Prince Claus Fund for Culture and Development of the Netherlands, ArtMatters.Info, in conjunction with film and arts festivals in eastern and southern Africa, trained journalists in arts criticism, film criticism, cultural journalism, human rights and online publishing.
